Tiffany Duong
Hello! I am an Art Therapist Intern at Creative Connections. I currently attend Adler Graduate School in their dual licensure art therapy program. I am working towards getting licensed as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to make art and help people. I have used art in my own life to work through trauma and explore my personal/professional/cultural identity. Art has been a way for me to express, release, and cope through many challenges. It has also been a form of prayer and guidance, as I’ve allowed my faith to guide my creative process. I have found that art has the power to provide clarity, comfort, and self-compassion. My desire as a therapist is to help others find healing through creative exploration and psychoeducation. Most importantly, I aim to have fun while doing so because I believe playing (at any age) is the best way to learn, grow, and restore hope!
I am passionate about working with children as I have experience as a mother, childcare teacher, and substitute teacher. I also have a heart for working with people with disabilities and have enjoyed volunteering at Midwest Special Services (MSS), a nonprofit organization that supports individuals with disabilities. As an intern eager to expand on my expertise, I am open to working with a variety of individuals from all backgrounds.
